Even a Mongoloid will be blown away by this photo from the early career of DEVO! This photo was taken in Boston the year the band cracked into the mainstream, 1978. This was the same year DEVO signed their first record deal with Warner Bros and appeared on Saturday Night Live. This is a brand new, extremely high quality artwork, that will be right at home in any collection of fine art. This photograph comes from the "Days of Punk" portfolio of esteemed photographer Michael Grecco. Grecco is one of America's top photographers shooting celebrities such as Martin Scorsese, Will Ferrell & Penelope Cruz and his work is regularly featured in publications such as Esquire, Time & Entertainment Weekly. As a youth Michael honed his trade in the wild, dark and smoky rock clubs of Boston and New York during the 1970's and early 80's. He captured the rise of bands like Devo, The Cramps, Dead Kennedys, The Ramones and countless others on their way to eventual rock legend and his work captures the unbridled energy and rebellion of a seminal shift in American music and culture reverberations are still felt to this day.
This is a brand new, never displayed print acquired directly from Mr. Grecco with his original hand signed Certificate of Authenticity.
