Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, 1886-1968 was a Japanese–French painter and printmaker born in Tokyo, Japan, who connected Japanese ink methods to Western-style canvases. He has been called "the most important Japanese artist working within the West during the 20th century". His Japanese-style paintings were implanted with French oil portray techniques and made Tsuguharu Foujita's artworks really unique.
