This is a classic Tsuba shape, providing a balanced and symmetrical design. The most striking feature is the presence of the leaf motifs on the Tsuba adding visual interest to it. This intricate design and the careful execution of the openwork suggest that this Tsuba was crafted by a skilled artisan. It probably belonged to a samurai or a person of high social standing.
