This Tsuba has a simple, almost rectangular shape, which is less common than the more circular or oval designs. This design has openwork features, and an inscription on the Tsuba, likely the signature of the craftsman who created it. The style and design elements suggest that this Tsuba could be from the Edo period (1603-1868).
