About

One of the great chroniclers of the American Southwest, Edward Curtis's writings and photography captured the culture, lore and spirit of the Native American tribes before they were displaced by American expansion. Curtis would set out for months on foot and horse to document the lives of Native Americans, living amongst them while creating his comprehensive work The North American Indian, hailed by the New York Herald as "the most ambitious enterprise in publishing since the production of the King James Bible."

This is a limited edition photographic print issued by the Edward Curtis gallery. Each image was captured by Curtis in his travels and is a fascinating glimpse into history.
