About

Player ring from the Crimson Tide's undefeated Championship season in 1979. Made from 10k yellow gold by Jostens with a centrally mounted CZ stone. The left shank features an Alabama "A" logo with "Crimson" on one side and "Tide" on the other. The right shank is engraved with the Sugar Bowl and SEC logo as well as the team's "12-0" record. The player name is etched inside the ring with their number and "Jostens 10k."

The 1979 Alabama team carried on the teams dominance of the 70's, this was the teams seventh perfect season, and 22nd year for legendary Head Coach Bear Bryant. The Tide defense held 5 teams scoreless, and only two teams were able to score double digits. A 24-9 victory over Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl cemented the team as the consensus National Champions.
