About

Player ring from the 1956 New York Giants NFL winning season, pre-dating the Super Bowl era. This classic ring is made from 10k yellow gold with a centrally mounted diamond on a blue stone background. The ring was made by Dieges and Clust jewelers of New York, who also cast the original Heisman trophies and the first Baseball MVP award.

This ring belonged to Walt Yowarsky, a defensive starter in the Championship game who went on to coaching with the Vikings, Saints, Falcons, Oilers and Chargers. He was hired as a scout for the Dallas Cowboys in 1977 and would stay in the position for 23 years, contributing to the teams three Super Bowl victories. He is perhaps most famous for being the deciding influence in the organizations decision to draft Emmitt Smith, who became the all-time NFL rushing leader.
