About

"Quoniam non derelinques animam meam in inferno, nec dabis sanctum tuum videre corruptionem”

The Salvador Dali Biblia Sacra is a series of 105 paintings based on select passages from the Latin Vulgate Bible, published in 1969 by Rizzoli of Rome. The images represent the artist’s interpretations of various verses and events from the Holy Bible. Dr. Guiseppe Albareto, Dali's friend, publisher, and devout Catholic, commissioned the work with hopes of bringing the artist back to his religious roots.
