This 1928 $20 Federal Reserve Note is a must-have for collectors and history enthusiasts alike. Crafted with precision and detail, this vintage bill is from the early days of the Federal Reserve System, and numerically denotes the Federal Reserve Bank that it came from in a round seal to the left of the Presidential portrait. As such these notes are sometimes referred to as "numerical" Federal Reserve notes.
These are also unique in that they were redeemable in gold from the United States Treasury and bear the text declaring their redeemability. Later Federal Reserve notes would drop the gold redemption option.
