Obverse: Lady Liberty is illustrated on the obverse in a classically styled profile portrait, wearing a Phrygian cap and crown inscribed "LIBERTY," with an array of leaves, flowers, and grains decorating her hair. The image is surrounded by the inscriptions "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "1887," along with thirteen stars.
Reverse: Features an eagle with its wings outstretched, holding an olive branch and three arrows in its talons, with a laurel wreath curving below. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "ONE DOLLAR."
