Designed by Detroit's famous Grande Ballroom artist Gary Grimshaw, this poster promoted The Who's April 7, 1968 performance at CNE coliseum in Toronto. Although The Who was the headliner, promoter "Uncle" Russ Gibb lined up opening act performances by Troggs, MC5, and Raja.
During their closing set The Who performed their signature act of smashing their equipment and instruments while playing "My Generation." Due to the extent of the damage, they vowed never to smash their equipment again, at least in Toronto.
