Following his passing in Los Angeles in December 2000 the family of the “Reluctant” Frank Worth waded through his unkempt bedroom in a West Hollywood apartment and found a treasure trove of incredible photographs, most of legendary Hollywood Stars. Hid relatives knew he has befriended the likes of James Dean, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and that he earned a meager living as an unheralded freelance photographer. But what they discovered among his assorted possessions was a collection of photographs that were more extraordinary than could be imagined.
Frank Worth had recorded a personal and private vivid history of the last Golden Era of Hollywood at play in over ten thousand black and white and color photos and original prints, the majority never having been published, that he composed over a 25-year period.
