Francisco Bores was born May 6, 1898, in Madrid, Spain. Francisco was a vital figure in twentieth-century European craftsmanship. His nearness was essential within the moment wave of Spanish craftsmen who arrived in Paris in the 1920s, which included Pablo Picasso, Ginés Parra, Pedro Flores, and Antoni Clavé. In spite of the fact that in his claim nation he was not truly recognized until well into the 1970s when angles of Craftsmanship that did not fit in with the prevailing informalism and social realism were finally valued.
