Francisco Bores (1898–1980) was a Spanish painter and key figure in early twentieth-century European modernism. Working alongside Picasso and other avant-garde artists in 1920s Paris, Bores developed a distinctive style that bridged Cubism and Surrealism. Though underappreciated in Spain during his lifetime, his innovative approach to form and composition gained recognition in the 1970s as critical perspectives evolved beyond prevailing artistic movements.
