Fortune magazine from 1934 - the fifth year of distribution for the magazine. Henry Luce, distributer of Fortune, said he needed "the new magazine to be as excellent a magazine as exists within the United States. If conceivable, the undisputed most wonderful". To that conclusion, leading artists of the day contributed to the design of the covers counting Antonio Petruccelli, Ervine Metzl, Walter Buehr, and Ernest Hamlin. The covers are eminent both for the quality of the design, and their commentary on business, social and political issues of the day.
