Original Disney One-Sheet | Pinocchio, 1940
"And that's no lie" This original 1940 one-sheet movie poster promoting Walt Disney's Pinocchio was purchased on "Pawn Stars do America" Season 2 Episode 5 "Fort Worth Fortunes" because of its representation as a premier piece of animation history. Measuring at the standard pre-1985 era one-sheet size of 27" x 41", it notably and importantly lacks the National Screen Service (NSS) number. This is a key distinguishing feature for collectors, as the release predated RKO & Disney's implementation of the serialized numbering system. Despite the absence of an NSS code, the Poster's authenticity and first-release status are clearly established with the Walt Disney copyright as well as the RKO Radio Pictures logo below the title graphic, making this a stellar example of the Golden Age of Animation movie promotion.
