A piece of memorabilia Über Alles, this Gibson Maestro guitar is hand-signed by all four members of the classic Dead Kennedys lineup: Jello Biafra (Vocals), East Bay Ray (Guitar), Klaus Flouride (Bass), and the late D.H. Peligro (Drums). Dead Kennedys are one of the original US punk bands that acheived commercial success. Originally formed in 1978 San Francisco their songs "California Über Alles" and "Holiday in Cambodia" are certified punk classics. Fully authenticated by JSA and accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity.
A complete set that can no longer be assembled
D.H. Peligro, the band's longest-serving drummer, passed away on October 28, 2022. His signature on this guitar, alongside those of Biafra, East Bay Ray, and Klaus Flouride, represents all four members of the lineup that played together from 1981 until 1986. With Peligro gone, no new item can ever carry all four signatures again, which makes surviving examples like this one increasingly difficult to find.
Formed in San Francisco in June 1978 when East Bay Ray placed an ad in The Recycler looking for bandmates, Dead Kennedys became one of the most influential and controversial acts in American punk. Their 1980 debut, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables, is considered a landmark of the genre, and Jello Biafra's biting political lyrics set the band apart from their peers. Peligro joined in 1981 replacing original drummer Ted, this new lineup went on to record the albums In God We Trust, Plastic Surgery Disasters, Frankenchrist, and Bedtime for Democracy.
