Most famously, they upset the No. 1 ranked Miami Hurricanes, breaking their 36 game regular season winning streak. The Irish won the title over the West Virginia Mountaineers in the Fiesta Bowl by a score of 34-21.
This player ring was cast in 10k gold, a practice discontinued on NCAA rings after 2006. This ring marks the last National Title to date for the Fighting Irish, a lucky find for the true fan!
