This vintage set of two Chicago Relays Official Medals from 1942 and 1945 commemorates the historic track and field events held at Chicago Stadium and sponsored by The Chicago Daily News. Each medal features a classical athlete's profile surrounded by radiant detailing and a laurel design, suspended from a red, white, and blue ribbon with a gold-tone bar marked “OFFICIAL.” The reverse displays the event year, sponsor, and venue.
