About

"Madonna & Child" Hungarian coin minted at the Kremnitz Mint, the oldest working mint in the world today. The coin has been graded by NGC and is enclosed in a story vault with an informational card. The card reads... "In 1526, Ferdinand I of Austria inherited the Hungarian Throne. Although the coins minted by Ferdinand in Hungary were gradually changed to match those of Austria, Ferdinand knew that certain symbols, those showing the Hungarian arms and especially the Madonna with child, could not be removed from the coins without a rebellion by the people of Hungary."

Observe: “Madonna & Child” in the center with mint mark: KB

Reverse: Hungarian coat of arms in the center, with legend, name, titles of the King, and date of minting.

Note: Pictured coin is an example and may not be the exact coin you receive. Coin will match selected options and grade. Dates may vary but the coins are all from the mid-1500s. Available in XF45 or XF40 grades.
