This piece of American Aviation history is a thruster from the Lunar Lander Training vehicle 952 (aka LLTV #3). This vehicle was used to train the Apollo crews for the complicated moon landing sequence. Item comes with NASA-MSC control tags dated December 11, 1972, describing the engine:"Part Name: Lift Rt, Part No. 7161-470003-1, A/C or GSE Name & No. NASA 952, Part S/N 2, Part Mfg. Bell, Oper. Time 2:11:27, Removed per T.P.S. 52-1215.


The thruster measures 9 x 7 x 5." This item also includes the book Unconventional, Contrary, and Ugly detailing the history of the lander.
