Tom Everhart is the only artist with full creative rights to the “Peanuts” characters originally created by Charles M. Schulz. He graduated from the School of Art and Architecture at Yale University in 1980, and got a freelance job illustrating renderings of the very well known characters. This led to Everhart working with the “Peanuts” imagery exclusively. His first show was in 1990 at the famous Louvre Museum. In 1991, United Media and Charles Schulz drafted a legal agreement allowing Tom exclusive rights to use subject matter from Schulz’s “Peanuts” strip in his art for “the term of his life,” an honor the artist is happy to devote his works to.
