Original "The Cure" concert poster from 1984. This poster was made to promote a show at Buffalo State College on Nov. 11th. The band played a 21 song set list right before leaving America to start their "The Top" European tour.
The Cure was formed in 1978 by vocalist and guitarist Robert Smith, bassist Michael Dempsey and drummer Lol Tolhurst. The Cure’s only constant remains Smith, who serves as the literal face of the band after multiple lineup changes.

The middle to late 1980s was a period of substantial critical and commercial success for the band, with a number of singles, as well as the albums themselves, making inroads into traditional rock radio in the United States. The Cure was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
