About

Act 4, Scene3: Juliet sends the Nurse away for the night. After facing her terror at the prospect of awaking in her family’s burial vault, Juliet drinks the potion that Friar Lawrence has given her.

William Shakespeare's iconic love story, "Romeo & Juliet," comes alive with Salvador Dali's surrealist imagination and style in these rare, hand-signed lithographs.  Dali's illustrations were printed in a limited edition book on laid paper, published by Rizzoli Edizioni Milano in 1975.  Each book was signed on the frontispiece by Dali and numbered to denote the edition.

Certain editions of the book also included a bonus suite of 10 lithographs of the book illustrations, hand-signed in red or blue crayon, and printed on heavy wove paper, after Salvador Dali's original watercolors.  The lithographs were collected loose in a sanguine silk folder and each print was protected by tissue guards with captions printed in Italian.  The total edition was limited to 999 copies.  This lithograph was included in a suite from one of the 819 "ad personam" editions.
