A brilliant piece of history, a collectible 1875 Eagle Crank Fluting Machine. This Fluting Machine, also called a Ruffler is used to put pleating or French fluting in freshly washed clothing. This size Fluting Machine was designed for home use or travel and made by the American Machine Co of Philadelphia Pa. Made of cast press with layered brass fluting rollers with wood wrench handles, typically a tabletop model. The machine is stamped in raised lettering Eagle Pat. Nov, 2. 1875.
