About

Own a piece of America's most famous warship with this wooden cannon sculpture made from a piece of the USS Constitution's original oak hull. The wood for this sculpture was acquired when the Constitution was dry docked for restoration in 1927. This handcrafted sculpture includes a display case and has a plaque reading, “This material was taken from the original hull of the US frigate Constitution keel laid 1794 rebuilding 1927.”

The USS Constitution is the oldest active service vessel in the United States’ navy
and is docked in Boston, MA. The ship, also known as Old Ironsides, is a three-masted wooden-hulled heavy frigate of the United States Navy. She is the world's oldest ship still afloat, originally launched in 1797. The Constitution fought it's most famous battle in the War of 1812 when she defeated four British frigates in three engagements, earning the nickname "Old Ironsides" for the British cannonballs that could not pierce her oak hull.

Dimensions: Approx.  Cannon: 11" x 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" - Display Case 15" x 8 1/2" x 8 1/2"
