This impressive Merrill E. Brown Knife is a unique piece of history, with an eagle's head and feathered body handle featuring an American federal shield on one side. This is a very scarce variation with a US marking rather than a service designation. The butt is dated 1944 as pictured. These knives were made by Brown and distributed to US service men at Fort Knox KY before their deployment overseas. This knife includes a period leather sheath.
