Mark King was born in India in 1931 to British parents. He studied art in England, France, and Italy before moving the United States in 1968. He was influenced by the Impressionists early in his art career, and remains so today. His fascination of painting techniques can also be seen in his works. After moving to the U.S., King began to paint sport scenes along with his landscapes and portraits.
