Multi-Platinum album award from Columbia Records for Journey's best selling album "Escape." Released in 1981 the album had 4 Billboard top 100 Singles, "Don't Stop Believin," "Who's Crying Now," "Still They Rise," & "Open Arms." This award was given to a radio station and was acquired by an employee of that station. Radio station record awards are generally more desirable than awards made out to an individual employee or executive.
The molding on the frame has been newly replaced, however the award does retain the original matting and acrylic. The black matting does have some minor water stains on the lower right corner and the acrylic shows minor scratches, likely from storage and transit. However the piece still makes a great presentation and will go great with any rock memorabilia collection.
