Erector “The World’s Greatest Toy” was made by A.C. Gilbert and released in 1950-1951. While Gilbert was on a train riding through New York City, he saw the girders that they use to support the electric wires over the train and that inspired him to create one of the world's greatest construction toys.

This is a vintage set complete with original red metal case. The interior lid reads "Builds Merry Go-Round - Parachute Jump." It appears to be complete but we cannot guarantee all pieces are still present.

Condition Report: This preowned Vintage Toy shows visible signs of natural wear & tear which is expected considering its age. Erector set comes in the original box, the box is not in mint condition. All items show signs of cosmetic flaws such as rust, scrapes, and scratches. Some pieces may be missing and the set may be incomplete.
