Product Description

1940s Rolla Poker Slot Machine

Vintage slot machine

Appears to be in good cosmetic condition

The first slot machine was invented by Charles Fey in San Francisco in 1887. Sitman and Pitt of New York created a gambling machine in 1891, which was the precursor to modern slot machines. It was based on poker. These machines proved to be highly popular and soon they could be found in bars. You put in your money and pulled the lever, which worked the cards inside, and hoped for a good poker hand. In the beginning, there was no direct payout like there is now, so the bar would give the player a beer, drink, or cigar.
