1500s Nobushige Katana
Sanada Nobushige, was a Japanese samurai warrior of the Sengoku period. He was especially known as the leading general on the defending side of the Siege of Osaka. Yukimura was called "A Hero who may appear once in a hundred years".
A samurai sword is made of excellent-quality steel that is repeatedly heated, hammered, and folded. The repetition of the process ensures the removal of all air bubbles that can form in the steel which weakens the sword during heating. This is a 1500s Japan Model Nobushige Sword. The handle has black cord wrap with ray skin underneath for better grip. The scabbard is a glossy hard black material that secures the blade when it is not in use. If you are a fan of Japan history/culture this sword belongs with you.
Full Length: Approximately 37”
Blade: Approximately 27”
Note: Sword is worn with cosmetic flaws due to aging.
