Things You Might Not Know About The Pawn Shop!

Here’s something most folks, who drive by at least, probably don’t know about the shop.  That long line out front that wraps around the building only takes about 15 minutes to cycle through!  I know that it may look daunting but I promise the wait isn’t long at all.

Worried about standing in the heat?  Rick had some quality misters installed.  So while you’re waiting outside you can get a nice cool burst of cold water to keep you chilled.  We know it gets hot in Vegas, and it’s pretty easy to get a sunburn if you’re outside in the sun for just a few minutes so we’ve done everything we can to make sure that it is more convenient for our visitors and customers.  Don’t just drive by stop in and say hello!

I am not the type to get addicted to a TV show but Pawn Stars is #1 on my DVR and the only show I watch when I get home from work. I even have my 5 year old daughter addicted to it too and the great thing is……she gets a history lesson without even knowing it.

I plan on taking a vacation to Vegas whin the next year and visiting your shop is first on my agenda. I love you guys!!!!! Please don’t let fame go to your head ……one of the main reasons my family and I watch your show is because you are so down to earth and not just actors reading a script. I can’t wait to see what comes in your shop next!!!!!!

My in-laws went in the shop but all that happened was you just walked around in a line just quickly looking at things. How does the general public buy something thats in the shop?

      Andrew,
You can speak with anyone of the sales people behind the counters. They are more than happy to assist you with anything you would like to purchase.
      Thank you

    • My wife bought a ring in the store Saturday. They were more than willing to help her and negotiated a good price easily. I’m sure they want people to purchase their items.

I have a stone from the Houses of Parliament with a seal on it that indicates that “This Stone came from the houses of Parliament.” I have had it ever since 1964. It had been given to an industrialist that was a patient of mine a short time after WW2. His wife gave it to me after he passed away. I would like to know what value it might have and if you would be interested. It has been on a shelf in my library all these years and is in good shape.

    Hello Guys,

we are two german fans of your nice “business-familiy”. We are recording and watching each show! Your are so “earthstanding” and really fair and kind to your customers. We never had been to USA before, but now we are sure we will visit LAS VEGAS and your shop !
We wish you all the best and old man much of health! My grandfather had a pawn too – and every time I see old man I remember him.

Thank you for the seasons and never stop!

We are planning a trip in February to Las Vegas. What day and time is good so we can avoid the lines?

    • Michael on said:

      Jennifer,
The lines are hit or miss. But even if the line is long it only takes about 15 minutes from the very end. Unless they are filming a segment, then it can take a while. However, there is no schedule or time table for filming.

I also want to add I think Cajun pawn starts is a total rip off of Pawn stars. I don’t like how they really rip people off and because of that I refuse to watvh it. My favorite thing from the pawn stars show is when the lady came in with the spider broach and was asking 2,000 for it. Rick was honest with her and told her what she had was worth a lot of money and offered her 15,000. It is awesome he was honest about it and didn’t want to rip her off. The Cajun Pawn stars would have gave her the 2,000 and sent her on her way. I love the honesty pawn stars has and it shows a lot about Ricks character and that is why he is so successful. I love you guys!! In fact I’m watching the show now.

I think that the Cajun Pawn Stars would have given a fair price, besides, the real Pawn Star knock off show is Hardcore Pawn. Those guys would have probably gave that lady $500 and then would have gotten into a fight with a ton of cursing. It seems like that show was only set up to show the “bad side” of the pawn industry. I get it, not every Pawn Shop is as beautiful and honest, I know that first hand. That’s why I like original Pawn Stars, they show what the good Pawn Shops are like and end some of the Pawn Shop stereotypes. Nothing beats the original Pawn Stars!
